About Us

Dr Dewi Griffiths (GMC Registration Number 7017361) and Dr Nicola Murphy (GMC Registration Number 7017257) are our GP’s and work in partnership to provide medical services under the ‘General Medical Services Contract’ to Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

We have a practice population of approx. 2300 patients and serve a wide rural area which lies within an 8-10 mile radius of Cerrigydrudion.

We are located in a traditional Welsh heartland and this is reflected in our beliefs and our commitment to the Welsh language and culture.

Dispensing

Uwchaled Medical Practice is a dispensing doctors practice which means, because of our rural location, we can dispense medication to our patients.

Our dispensary is managed by a team of qualified dispensers who are always happy to assist you. Unlike a pharmacy, we don’t sell medication and don’t have a pharmacist on-site. The overall responsibility for the dispensary falls to the GPs.

Our team handles thousands of prescriptions each month, along with managing stock, answering queries, and taking on various administrative and reception duties. It’s a fast-paced, busy environment.

Our dispensary is a vital part of our practice, offering a valuable service to our patient community. It also plays a key role in supporting our ability to invest in and enhance the medical services we provide. We would be extremely grateful for your continued support in every way possible.
