Administration and Reception
GP practice reception and administration staff (care navigators) play a key role in patient care by managing front desk services, booking appointments, handling phone inquiries, and greeting patients. They also process registration forms, update patient records, and manage the flow of information between patients and healthcare providers. Additionally, they handle administrative tasks such as managing correspondence, processing referrals and arranging recalls, and ensuring patient confidentiality is maintained.
Dispensary
A dispenser in a GP surgery is responsible for preparing and dispensing prescribed medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and safety. They manage stock levels, handle medication queries, and provide advice on the proper use of medications. Additionally, dispensers ensure prescriptions are processed in compliance with legal and regulatory standards, contributing to the overall smooth running of the practice's pharmacy services.
