If the GP or Practice nurse wants you to see another medical professional about your condition or health problem, they will make a referral to a service at the hospital.

You will normally receive a letter of acknowledgement from the hospital which will explain their process for dealing with their patients.  This will also include all the relevant contact details.

If you have any queries about your referral, waiting lists and times or queries about appointments that you have been given, please contact the hospital directly. We can’t help with these questions.
