Non-NHS Work (Private)

The NHS doesn’t pay for some of the services that a GP provides and therefore a fee is charged, and the work is considered to be ‘private’.  The GP’s priority is the care of their patients and those duties always come first.  Private work is done in the GP’s own time and is in addition to an already heavy workload.  GPs are not under any obligation to do this work but will try their best to assist.

Up to 10 working days is required to process all paperwork.  You’ll be invoiced accordingly, and payment is accepted by debit card, cash or bank transfer.

The list of current charges can be found here Private Fee Charges 2024
